Assistant Property Manager

The Assistant Property Manager (APM) position is to assist with the day-to-day functions of the property management department and the functions of the Director of Property Management (DPM) to which he/she is assigned.  The focus of the job is to support the DPM in all aspects of management pertaining to the client’s property.  The APM is the liaison between the tenants and the DPM for many tenant issues.

Due to our continued expansion, we have an immediate opening for an energetic, conscientious and detail oriented Assistant Property Manager who enjoys making a difference, being part of a team, and takes pride in their career. 

  1. Draft correspondence and/or notify tenants with information relating to lease issues, tenant improvements, maintenance etc.
  2. Assist DPM in working with various projects.
  3. Assist DPM to create operating budgets for each property.  Includes meeting with and soliciting quotations from vendors for various services.
  4. Work with tenants to ensure accounts are paid on time.
  5. Review invoices to ensure they are accurate and are paid on time.
  6. Schedule janitorial walks and attend same.
  7. Schedule landscaping walks and attend same.
  8. Meet with tenants as directed by DPM to resolve issues with tact and diplomacy.
  9. Support for DPM and on-call emergency responses.
  10. Collect and input monthly sales from tenants.
  11. Review monthly reports to ensure bills are paid on time.
  12. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.


Education & Experience:


  1. Prior CRE experience is a MUST
  2. 3-5 years relevant experience

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  2. Strong organizational skills.
  3. Success in multi-tasking while maintaining a strong attention to detail and desire to perform projects and actions with the highest quality results.
  4. Maintaining personal skills and establishing relationships in order to advance professional networks and facilitate communication both within and outside the company.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both in written format and oral presentation.
  6. Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
  7. Demonstrated self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to be proactive and demonstrate initiative in projects and tasks.
  9. High degree of integrity.
  10. Strong financial management skills.
  11. Strong focus on delivering results and providing exceptional tenant service.
